The result is sometimes they work, sometimes they work for a second, and sometimes they don’t respond at all. Have you ever worked with a piece of hardware that doesn’t have drivers for PC. The reason I will always give controllers for PC preferential treatment over others when they have Xbox Drivers is because I know it’s a small guarantee that they will always work. This controller comes with Xbox 360 drivers out of the box. On the other hand this controller has one of my favorite features any controller for PC should have and that is Xbox Drivers. The only way I can describe it is that it feels cheap. The controller does feel a little lighter when compared to a Series X controller. I personally recommend that you turn them off, because I find LED lights on equipment to be distracting whenever I’m doing something on the computer. The control also has LED lights on the A, B, X, Y buttons that you may turn off. You have the option to set those whichever way you feel more comfortable or simply turn them off. Similar to the Xbox Elite Controller or the Razer Wolverine, this controller also has 6 additional buttons for mapping (which like always, I never use). However, the similarities don’t end there and I’ll get to that later. Mainly because it has an LED display screen in the bottom which tells you what you are doing with the controller (whether you are mapping macros or turning on or off LEDs, among other things).
The design at first glance reminds me of the Razer Sabertooth for the Xbox 360. Micro USB is not my favorite type of USB cable, however it is the most popular outside USB C (recently) or Apple’s Lightning. This wired controller requires a USB Micro cable. Anyway let’s start with the basics this controller. I have quite a few Madcatz pads to review that are on Queue, however I had to get this review finished before the pads/arcade sticks start stacking up.
